Hi, I'm Carie Lea!See, the project started as a compliment which quickly turned into a dare. I did makeup for my friends' dance concert and I did crazy stuff (it was graffitti-street-art themed), like rainbows and lime-green leopard spots. Another girl said that I should be a makeup artist, but I told her that I wasn't creative enough. Lo and behold my friend Emmy hears this and decides to dare me to go through one whole school year (weekends and breaks too) with out repeating a single makeup look.
And I was just trying to be modest!
But, no, I agreed and makeup tutorials have become almost as important as my summer book list this year!
My favorite things to do are write stories, hang with my friends, random dancing to science class with my buddy Lins and learing. You can never stop learning or helping others learn something too, which is why knowledge is so precious. Can you tell how popular I am at school?
In supplement to my makeup looks (I call them Lea Looks), I will also post random fashion updates (like trends or maybe the occasional favorite thing); But what I hope to start doing (which will make this whole thing so special) is putting together photo shoots using all my friends to show case new looks, new fashion, and even the new styles of art.
I will also post the occasional art work by my buddy Bails, and hold contests too!
So, I'm just a girl on her way through life, trying to make every moment as beautiful as possible; even the sad times when it seems even rainbows are upside-down.
I want to share that with all of you; I can be cynical, sarcastic, and snarky, but I'm trying my hardest not to be. I just have enthusiasm for life and believe that if everyone did, the world would have a band-Aid on just one more of the many scratches.
So, in the words of that incredibly good song: Don't worry...be happy!
